The Tale of the Kayapo Feather Headdresses




			
			

OBVERSE VIEW Spectacular Krokroti, the largest of all Kayapo headdresses made from tail and flight feathers of the endangered Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus). This specimen also has feathers from the the Blue and Yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna), the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) and the Green- winged Macaw (Ara chloropertera). The white feathers are from the Maguari Stork (Ciconia Maguari). 95-1540
