Leon Dixon
Foreman, Locksmith Shop, Office of Protection Services. As the manager of a security system involving more than 10,000 locks and several hundred vaults in more than fifty Smithsonian facilities, Leon directs and maintains an extensive and successful program. His management philosophy is a simple one in which customer service is always a first priority. He fully embodies his own definition of an effective and responsive manager: someone who works side-by side with his staff and affords them every possible support for advancement.
