Eugene Frank Kerns
Electrician Supervisor, High Voltage, Office of the Physical Plant. Little runs in the Smithsonian without electrical power, and no one knows this better than Mr. Kerns. He is the person who is called in whenever anything goes wrong, the person who is responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair and the person who must coordinate electrical systems and needs for contractors. From preventive maintenance to safely managing exploded transformers, Mr. Kerns quietly and unobtrusively provides the Smithsonian with safe and reliable electrical power.
