James B. Oakley
Museum Technician, National Museum of American History. James is a creative, flexible and generous employee. He is commended here because of his exceptional leadership, dedication and exemplary performance on several special projects. These projects have required him to endure physical and environmental hardships in order to salvage and protect invaluable Smithsonian collections. Always the first on duty, James frequently volunteers to take on particularly difficult tasks which require an added measure of commitment.
