Roberto M. Pulos
Mobile Equipment Operator Leader, National Air and Space Museum. Roberto is recognized for his many frequent and exceptional contributions to the Smithsonian. None, however, is more noteworthy than his unsung assistance in the filming of a Smithsonian Minute. After a full days work, Roberto returned at night and for several hours curled up in a ball on a forklift 40 feet up in the air where, hidden under a black cloth, he had to remain perfectly still as the hot television lights beamed down upon him. And, after all that, his face never even appeared in the commercial. Now, that is dedication.
